From Start to Finish

I’ve finished my Sid Cowl.

Looking back, it’s hard to believe that only a few months ago it was this roving from Fat Cat Knits.

It quickly spun up into this yarn

And in the blink of an eye it practically knit itself into a cowl.

I love this to pieces, the pattern (the Juliet Poe Cowlย by Josiah Bain) makes a nice stretchy fabric –ย I wanted to use ever last bit of my hand spun so I made this longer, long enough to loop around twice (which is probably better for a Canadian winter!).ย The yarn turned out to be more of a self-striping yarn than variegated, but I really like it like this.

I think I can safely say the first project of 2015 was a success.
