A Study in Pink, Chapter One

I’ve got a new spinning project in the works. I’ve been thinking about a nice shawl to wear on cool summer evenings and I decided I’d spin the yarn myself. Now, I don’t have enough of any one colour for a decent sized shawl so I’m going to have to combine a few colours of Knit Picks Roving, but I think it might actually be more fun this way.

Instead of stripes I’m going to try going for more of a gradient effect by plying the colours together. So far I’ve finished spinning the white.

I don’t have enough bobbins for my wheel to spin all the singles at once, so I think I’ll finish off the pink and then start plying.
