A Study in Pink, Chapter Four

All told my Study in Pink yarn came up to about 530 yards of roughly aran weight wool. The white, light pink, dark pink, and red are about the same length, but the pure pink in the middle is only about a third of the yardage, so it will be a pretty thin stripe in the finished shawl. I’m going to call it a design feature and leave it at that.

Love the colours

I’m making a very basic shawl out of this yarn so that the yarn is the star. I’m using the triangular shawl ‘recipe’ from the Yarn Harlot’s Knitting Rules! using garter stitch instead of stockinette and make 1 increases rather than yarn overs.

Beautiful, squishy garter stitch

At this point it’s pretty boring white garter stitch, I can’t wait to start incorporating the pinks.
