Plying the pink and white together helped clear up some bobbins so I was able to spin up the red roving. Aren’t the colours gorgeous? It’s Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Roving in Wild Rose Heather and Hot Rod Heather.
I’ve got a new spinning project in the works. I’ve been thinking about a nice shawl to wear on cool summer evenings and I decided I’d spin the yarn myself. Now, I don’t have enough of any one colour for a decent sized shawl so I’m going to have to combine a few colours of Knit Picks Roving, but I think it might actually be more fun this way.
The Malabrigo Nube is done and I hated every minute of it. But the colours are nice, and I can see myself using the finished yarn (about 135 m of 3-ply, in case you were wondering), so wasn’t a total waste of time.
Once you actually spin the singles it does’t take that much time to ply them together. There’s only one problem I have with plying…
